You'll be greeted by hundreds of dancing, smiling daffodils. Come for a fun, engaging and relaxing experience.
Visit. Learn. Create. Stroll. Picnic. RELAX. Reserve your spot today! Space is limited.
- Home gardeners! Get proven planting and care tips. Learn how with your local lavender farmers, Dale & Annie Baggett, who have been growing lavender for 25 years. Bring your questions and get the answers specific to your garden. Visit anytime between 10 am - 2 pm. Your admission donation benefits the Caswell County Animal Protection Society, located right up the road from the farm.
- Tree huggers and bird lovers unite! Here's your chance to wander the farm with Annie and ask your questions about what she's planted where and why. The farm is a certified bird habitat thanks to the New Hope Bird Society, formerly Audubon. Annie shamelessly collects trees, shrubs, perennials and native plants in addition to lavender. She's into supporting the wild bird population too. Fascinated by just how close you can hang a bird swing to your best viewing window, you can join the VIP Tour | Bird Swing Class and make a fun swing of your very own. Kind of like lavender, when you make art the process calms and soothes. Using a collection of glass beads, you'll create your very own bird swing using copper wire. The birds love it! Suitable for all ages with the suggestion of tag-teaming with kids under 10 or with your not crafty friends.
- In addition to the wide range of lavender plants, which will be ready for your garden and available for purchase, you'll find the farm's unique collection of soul-soothing handcrafted goods for the body, gifts, home and weddings in the Lavender Love Shop & Farm Market.
- Pack a picnic or bring snacks if you wish to linger on the farm while we're open.
Spring is the perfect time to plant lavender! In a garden spot that gets at least 6 hours of sun, you will learn how to plant and grow with success. We will gather, discuss and troubleshoot so that you will have sweetly scented, all season long soothing blooms in your garden. The farm will offer as many plants as possible and a wide assortment of varieties for bloom color and flowering time, size, scent, etc.
Learn about lavender and how to properly plant this pollinator attracting, sweetly scented herb. You'll enjoy one-on-one Q&A with the farmers. Dale is a character sure to give you all of his tips based on years and years of hole-digging experience. Some say that the farm doubles as a comedy club! ; ) A variety of lavender plants will be available for purchase in the Lavender Love Shop & Farm Market.
You may also pre-order lavender plants by clicking here.
Pick up your reserved plants while you're visiting the farm or on Wednesday afternoons after the Spring Planting Clinic. While the early spring plant supply lasts! Plants ship beginning the first week in April.
The Lavender Love Shop & Farm Market includes a Lavatoire (pretty restroom!) for your convenience.
While there's some farm seating, bring whatever you need to be comfortable like a camp chair or a picnic blanket. Wear your farm attire that you won't mind getting dirty or muddy to include closed shoes. Bring your water bottle, sunscreen, a snack or a picnic, a friend, etc. We know how hard it is to leave Fido behind. No pets please.
